Project: Experiential Event
Brief: Vodafone recently launched a new internal initiative, advice designed to contextualise every part of the Vodafone business to the wider team. They approached us to produce a video that created a sense of belonging and understanding amongst staff while acknowledging how and why their role within the business is important.
Challenge: As this video needed to be engaging to staff at all levels, we wanted to produce something that would get people talking and sharing the video. We designed an experiential event that we would then enhance with motion graphics.
We decided to set the event at Vodafone HQ, where it would get the staff talking and cause a bit of a stir. We worked together with mural artists to design a large mural which incorporated all the aspects of the initiative’s key messaging, refining the information into a clear, concise and engaging flow. The painting and filming of the mural had to be meticulously planned to make sure we had all the shots needed to accommodate the animation that would be bringing the mural to life.
Creative: Utilizing the fantastic Vodafone headquarters, we constructed a 24 x 8ft structure, setting up several cameras, including timelapse, to capture the event. After the mural had been completed, our animators brought the mural to life. Nothing like this project had ever been done before at Vodafone. This incredibly innovative way of promoting understanding of the new initiative was a success, producing massively increased engagement amongst staff at every level of the business.
